Internships

In the pursuit of academic excellence and real-world experience, these internships helped guide me to my interests in my future career.

Digital Archives Intern

International Women’s Baseball Center, 2019

Working with board member, Ryan Woodward, I began digitizing archives for accessible use for IWBC patrons. The main project was to identify the best way to share this information and to create best practices for the organization as it continued to grow.

Academic Support Intern

Národní technická knihovna, 2018

Spending a summer in Prague, I worked with Stephanie Krueger in multiple projects to further patron excellence at the state-run library. Several projects were completed, including launching an assessment program to better understand space management.

ASB Intern

Smithsonian Museum of American History, 2018

For Alternative Spring Break, I spent a week in Washington, D.C. entering metadata for a photography collection, using Archive Space. The title of the project “Do You Want an Image with That?” led to the addition of over 1,000 items to the Smithsonian’s digital collection.

Project Archivst

Marshall University Special Collections, 2017

Building on a project started in the Spring of 2017, I wanted to go further in helping Special Collections in the findability of items. Therefore, learning Past Perfect, I worked to change the information of photography items that had been effected in the reorganization of the Cabell-Wayne Historical Society Photo Collection.

Intern

Cabell County Courthouse Victim Advocates, 2014

As a completion of my B.S. in Criminal Justice, I spent a summer shadowing the Victim Advocates Unit to better understand the process of the court system in Huntington, West Virginia.
