Kate graduated from the University of Michigan’s School of Information with a masters in December 2019. They had planned on walking in May 2020, but the event was canceled. During a family vacation to Huntington, West Virginia in August 2020, Kate made their way to Ritter Park, where their mother, Lori Haines, staged photos and their sister, Katharine Haines took the shots that Kate would later edit.
